KatadataOTO – Chery affirms its commitment to developing the vehicle market in the country. One of the ways is by launching hybrid technology cars, a market they have not yet entered despite its considerable size.

They also demonstrated their commitment by introducing the Chery Super Hybrid, which will become the platform in that segment. Impressively, the Chinese manufacturer plans to launch three hybrid models at once in Indonesia.

“This year, we plan to launch three Chery Super Hybrid cars in Indonesia. As for the models, that cannot be revealed yet,” said Budi Darmawan, Sales Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, some time ago.

The technology is named Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) and is planned to be installed in the Tiggo 8 CSH. The product is planned to be launched in the near future.

“So, Internal Combustion Engine cars have the disadvantage of high fuel consumption, while with electric vehicles, people are still worried about the driving range. Therefore, we provide a solution through the Chery Super Hybrid,” said Zeng Shuo, Country Director of CSI.

It should be noted that the Chery Super Hybrid uses the Acteco Engine H4J15 with a thermal efficiency of up to 44.5 percent and a fuel consumption of 76 km per liter. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a Stepless Super Hybrid DHT that provides mechanical efficiency of up to 98.5 percent.

The car is also equipped with an IP68-standard lithium iron phosphate battery that is resistant to water, dust, and extreme temperatures up to 95 degrees Celsius. This power storage source can also be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

Furthermore, the installed Chery Super Hybrid technology extends the vehicle's driving range. The Chinese manufacturer claims that the Tiggo 8 CSH can travel more than 1,100 km on a single tank of fuel.

The car is planned to be produced locally at the production facility of Handal Indonesia Motor. Thanks to this, it is expected that its price will be more competitive compared to other vehicles.
