KatadataOTO – The French brand, Citroen offers a line of SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) vehicles such as the C3 Aircross and the E-C3 electric car.

But it turns out there are two other models offered to consumers, namely the Citroen C5 Aircross and the E-C4.

It should be noted, the E-C4 was previously one of the first Citroen models brought to Indonesia towards the end of 2022.

However, because the number of orders was not high, Citroen did not supply the model in large quantities.

“So far, one of them is the E-C4, which we have introduced before. Besides the E-C4, we can also specially import the C5,” said Tan Kim Piauw, CEO of Citroen Indonesia in Jakarta recently.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is a gasoline-powered SUV. Although there are several variants, in Indonesia there is only one engine option with a 1,598 cc 4-cylinder capacity with THP (Turbo High Pressure).

This engine configuration is claimed to produce 165 hp at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm.

Initially, the Citroen C5 Aircross was offered for Rp 1.1 billion. But now the price has dropped.

“The C5 is around Rp 900 million. The E-C4 is around Rp 1.2 billion,” said Tan Kim Piauw.

But he emphasized that consumers need to wait quite a long time for delivery, which is two to three months. This is because the E-C4 is imported directly from Citroen's assembly facility in Spain.

Citroen already has one locally assembled electric car, the E-C3. But so far, Tan has emphasized that there are no plans to do the same for other models.

“For the E-C4, maybe we haven't gotten to that point yet, so for now we are producing the E-C3 in Indonesia according to the market needs here,” he said.

He further explained that orders can be placed by consumers at any time. The company will import without a minimum unit limit.

“Citroen is open, even one unit will be served. So there is no unit limit,” he said.

For your information, the Citroen C3 Aircross is currently one of their best-selling models in the country.
