Comparison of Compact SUVs in the 200 Million Rupiah Range: Fronx, Tiggo Cross, and WR-V

KatadataOTO – The choice of compact-sized SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) in the Rp 200 million price range is increasingly diverse. After the Honda WR-V, other models have emerged such as the Chery Tiggo Cross and the newest, the Suzuki Fronx.

In chronological order, the Honda WR-V was the first to launch among its rivals in November 2022. The model uses the 1,500 cc L15ZF engine from the BR-V.

At that time, the WR-V was only available with a CVT automatic transmission option. However, to complete the choices for consumers, the MT (Manual Transmission) variant of the WR-V was launched in May 2023.

Next is the Chery Tiggo Cross which debuted at the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025. This Chinese product is an updated version of the Tiggo 5X.
