KatadataOTO – Traffic engineering in the form of a contraflow, implemented by the police to manage traffic congestion, has been stopped at several points. One of them is from KM 55 to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

The police assessed that the flow of vehicles in the location has gradually returned to normal, so the contraflow system was stopped on Saturday (29/03) at 23:30 WIB. As of this writing, traffic is normal in both directions.

However, the one-way system policy is still in effect from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate. This is because the number of vehicles passing through the area is still considered to be high.

However, it should be noted that traffic engineering such as contraflow and one-way systems are situational and can change at any time. Therefore, travelers are advised to adjust their travel schedules.

Ahead of Eid 2025, traffic congestion at several points has actually started to decrease. This is evident from the situation at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate in Semarang, Central Java, on Saturday, or two days before Eid 2025, which was observed to be busy but smooth.

"The average number of vehicles passing through the Kalikangkung exit gate today is between 2,500 and 3,000 cars per hour," said AKP Sujid Riyanto, Head of the Kalikangkung Integrated Post in Semarang, as reported by Antara (30/03).

He added that the number of vehicles passing through from 06:00 to 17:00 WIB reached 35,185 units. According to him, the heaviest traffic occurred between 15:00 and 16:00 WIB, reaching 4,281 cars.

Despite this, there were no traffic jams at the Kalikangkung toll gate. This is because all toll booths were fully opened, and PT Jasa Marga officers were deployed to manage the flow of vehicles.

Meanwhile, Nasrullah, President Director of PT Jasa Marga Semarang Batang, said that 11 main booths and 8 satellite booths have been opened to serve travelers.

"This includes 10 officers with mobile readers to help speed up transactions," he said.
As for the cars passing through the Kalikangkung gate on Saturday (29/03), the flow was smoother compared to the previous day.
"The traffic is busy but starting to ease," he concluded.
