Bekasi Transportation Agency Implements Contraflow Due to Kalimalang Road Closure

KatadataOTO – The Bekasi City Transportation Agency is closing Villa Raya road, located on the south side of Kalimalang. This policy will be in effect for quite some time, starting from today, Monday (13/10) until Thursday (13/10).

The road closure will be implemented from the Villa Baru Housing bridge to the Primaya Hospital West Bekasi bridge.

This measure is necessary because a new Kalimalang Water Tourism bridge is planned for construction at the location. Therefore, this step must be taken to ensure the construction work can proceed smoothly.

Although the road is closed, the Transportation Agency has taken various anticipatory measures. Thus, the mobility of people from Bekasi to Jakarta or vice versa can still proceed as usual.

One of them is by implementing a contraflow system on KH Noer Ali road, which is the main route. This is expected to keep the traffic flow normal.

Vehicles from Bekasi to Jakarta

• Villa Raya Road
• Turn right to Villa Raya Bridge
• Turn left to KH. Noer Ali St.
• Turn left to Primaya Bridge
• Turn right to Letkol Moefreni Moe’min St. (south side of Kalimalang)
• Go straight towards Jakarta

Vehicles from Bekasi to Grand Metropolitan and M-Gold

• Villa Raya Road
• Turn right to Villa Raya Bridge
• Turn left to KH. Noer Ali St.
• Turn left to Primaya Bridge
• Turn right to Letkol Moefreni Moe’min St.
• Enter the Grand Avenue access

Vehicles from Jakarta to Bekasi

• No route changes, but will follow the contraflow scheme from Primaya bridge to Villa Baru bridge
