KatadataOTO – Denza, as a premium sub-brand of BYD Indonesia, made its debut at the GIIAS 2025 event. This Chinese brand showcases an aura of luxury and future electrification.

Carrying the theme Crafted Luxury, Electrified Future, Denza aims to expand its reach as a premium brand in the country.

Since its first introduction in Indonesia in early 2025, Denza has recorded positive results.

“GIIAS 2025 is an important chapter for Denza to showcase the full strength of its premium electric vehicle lineup. We believe Denza is building a long-term relationship with consumers,” said Eagle Zhao, President Director of BYD Motor Indonesia at ICE BSD (23/07).

It was stated that in June 2025, sales of the Denza D9 model reached over 6,000 units.

This achievement is no small feat for a newcomer brand. The public's interest in luxury electric cars is a significant note.

The Denza D9 itself is an MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) that offers maximum luxury. This model competes with the Toyota Alphard as the ruler of the premium MPV market.

Not only displaying the Denza D9, the latest model, the Z9 GT, was also showcased. This electric vehicle represents the future of premium EVs.

The Denza Z9 GT has an advantage, which is the Crab Walk capability. Although it may seem like a gimmick, it is useful for making parking maneuvers easier, specifically.

In fact, in BYD's home country, many cars have a longer wheelbase. Thus, they require extra effort when parking.

BYD Indonesia also brought the YangWang U9 as a special attraction. The electric supercar performed a unique act at GIIAS 2025.

“Because this is Denza's first appearance at GIIAS, we brought two future models, namely the Z9 and the YangWang U9,” Eagle then said.

The most prominent feature of the YangWang U9 showcased at GIIAS 2025 is the car's ability to move to the rhythm of music.

This supercar can even dance and jump. All of the U9's abilities are thanks to the embedded DiSus suspension system.

During the exhibition period, Denza provides test drive units for visitors.

So that the public can directly experience all the advantages of Denza's products.
