KatadataOTO – The feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has not subsided. In fact, the situation is heating up.

Recently, the President of the United States was reportedly intending to sell his electric car, a Tesla Model S.

"Donald Trump has decided to sell the red Tesla acquired in March 2025," wrote The New York Times report on Sunday (06/08).

The report stated that Trump initially bought this electric vehicle (EV) to show support for Elon Musk.

Especially when Elon Musk was scorned by the public in the United States for his role in the government.

"Government officials said that Trump showed little interest in interacting with Musk," they continued.

The electric four-wheeled vehicle was purchased by Donald Trump for a price of 80 thousand United States (US) dollars, equivalent to around Rp 1.3 billion.

However, the Tesla Model S electric car was never used by the President. Because according to him, the Secret Service would not allow him to drive it.

So Donald Trump's Tesla Model S was just parked at the White House. It was even reportedly used by the staff there.

On the other hand, Trump's decision to sell his electric car surprised many.

Especially since the number one person in the United States had praised Tesla as one of the best electric car manufacturers in the world.

He then called Elon Musk a great American citizen.

However, that romance changed quickly. The two have been at odds for some time now.

Musk called Trump's policy draft, titled 'Big Beautiful Bill', disgusting.
