KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is offering several hybrid electrification lines for consumers at the GIIAS 2025 event. Two of them have become favorite models.

According to Suzuki, their newest model, the Fronx, is dominating along with the Low Sport Utility Vehicle (LSUV).

“So, both the Fronx and the XL7 account for a total of 60 percent of the total sales or vehicle order letters (SPK) that we received as of Saturday afternoon,” said Harold Donnel, 4W Marketing Director of PT SIS, recently.

However, they are still unable to disclose the exact order figures for the Suzuki Fronx during GIIAS 2025.

This is interesting because the XL7 managed to garner orders that were not much different from the Fronx. Each contributed about 30 percent of Suzuki's total SPK at GIIAS 2025.

But according to Suzuki's analysis, consumers are still more inclined towards Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) models, although the Low Multi Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) market cannot be abandoned.

With the many LSUV choices in the country, especially during GIIAS 2025, the XL7 is said to offer its own advantages that make it popular with potential buyers.

“This influences the public's perception that the SUV is a model that is trendy or worth buying right now. If we look back at 2010, it was different, more towards LMPVs during their heyday,” said Harold.

During GIIAS 2025, Suzuki is targeting to book 2,400 SPK covering their various flagship models at the booth.

According to Harold, the GIIAS 2025 exhibition is quite crowded with visitors. However, he believes that sales figures will not yet be maximally boosted according to this semester's target.

The presence of many new products is said to be one of the factors causing the high public enthusiasm and visitor numbers at GIIAS 2025.

“Many new products are being offered to consumers, which can increase the enthusiasm of the people who come to GIIAS 2025,” said Harold.

For your information, the Suzuki booth is displaying various flagship lines, not only the Fronx, but also the Carry and APV, which had attracted attention at the IIMS 2025 automotive event.

The exhibition is still ongoing until August 3. Tickets can be purchased online or directly at the event location.
