Geely aims to have seven different models within three years to offer customers more options.

KatadataOTO – In the next three years, Geely is committed to introducing seven models in Indonesia, and two of them will be launched next year. Their presence is guaranteed to meet the market needs in the country.
This is because they are not only focusing on one technology but also on PHEV and ICE. Thus, customers can more easily choose a vehicle.
“In three years, we are ready to introduce seven models, and two of them are ICE. So the plan is we will have two BEVs, two ICEs, one PHEV, while the rest are still under study,” said Yusuf Anshori, Brand Director of Geely Indonesia.
He also revealed that the large number of models they will bring is part of their commitment to developing the market in the country. Moreover, in China, they actually have many options for customers.
“So we want to show that Geely has all vehicle technologies for customers,” he then added.
Not only that, he also confirmed that at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week event, they plan to bring a new model. Unfortunately, he was reluctant to explain in detail.
“At GJAW 2025, we will bring a surprise, just wait and see,” he then added.
It was previously reported that Geely has registered the Okavango with the Intellectual Property Database (PDKI). The vehicle already has the registration number IDM001344365.
The description states that the car has dimensions of 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,770 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,825 mm.
In terms of appearance, the Geely Okavango looks bold thanks to its tall posture. Its elegant design is complemented by a grille with a horizontal line pattern and a chromatic emblem in the center.
The use of 225/55 R18 profile tires completes the tough feel of the Geely Okavango. This is important because SUV enthusiasts are quite particular about design.
Speaking of the powertrain, the Geely Okavango is equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine capable of producing 190 hp and 300 Nm of torque. This power is then channeled to the two front wheels through a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.
Indonesia is not the first country in Southeast Asia to get this model. This is because Geely has already sold it in the Philippines with prices starting from PHP 1.368 million or the equivalent of IDR 388 million.
