KatadataOTO – Geely is one of the Chinese brands that offers electric car options for Indonesian consumers.

However, the brand is also known for other electrification products, including Extended Range Electric Vehicles.

It was recently revealed that Geely is preparing the debut of its newest Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) to join the Galaxy series, ready to be a new challenger to the Denza D9.

Named the Geely Galaxy V900, the model is rumored to launch first in its home country of China towards the end of November at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

Quoted from Carnewschina, Monday (17/11), the Geely Galaxy V900 is a form of the brand's expansion into the premium segment.

Although the manufacturer has not yet released information regarding the technical specifications of the Geely Galaxy V900, some of its details have been submitted for registration in China.

The EREV version of the Geely Galaxy V900 is equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine and an electric motor, producing 120 kW or the equivalent of 161 hp.

Then there are two battery options that consumers can choose from, namely 50 kWh or 43.3 kWh. Each offers a pure electric range of 165 kilometers to 202 kilometers.

Compared to its closest rival, the Denza D9, the Geely Galaxy V900 appears to have larger dimensions.

According to data compiled by Chinese media, the L x W x H dimensions of the Geely Galaxy V900 are 5,360 mm x 1,998 mm x 1,940 mm.

For comparison, this is slightly longer than the Denza D9, which has dimensions of 5,250 mm x 1,960 mm x 1,920 mm.

Then, the front has a unique appearance thanks to the inclusion of an extended LED bar on the hood. At a glance, it looks like the Hyundai Staria.

Like most premium electric MPVs, the Geely Galaxy V900 uses sliding doors for the second row.

However, there is one advantage that the Geely Galaxy V900 aims to offer. The model is available in a 2+2+2+2 seating configuration option, meaning for eight people.

Considering the positive trend of renewable energy vehicles in Indonesia, it is not impossible that Geely will bring the Galaxy V900 to enliven the premium segment in the country.

The Geely Galaxy V900 is scheduled for a global debut in China on November 21, 2025, and then has the potential to be marketed in a number of potential countries.
