Geely continues to expand its reach to market electric and hybrid cars to consumers in Indonesia.

KatadataOTO – Geely continues to show its ambition in marketing electric cars. They are not satisfied with just the three products that have already been launched.
The Chinese manufacturer claims to be preparing six new cars to be sold to consumers in the country.
“Indonesia is Geely's core market in Southeast Asia and an important pillar in our global new energy vehicle (NEV) strategy,” said Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales & Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia on Tuesday (21/01).
Furthermore, it was mentioned that Geely continues to strive to present a variety of new cars, in an effort to meet all consumer needs.
This is to encourage people in the country to start using electric and hybrid cars.
“We have seen high interest from Indonesian consumers in our vehicles,” he continued.
In his presentation, Herlijoso showcased six new cars, with details of two 5-seater models and the remaining four being 7-seaters.
It is highly likely that Geely's new products will still focus on targeting the hybrid car and Electric Vehicle (EV) segments.
Thus, the options for environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicles for consumers in Indonesia are increasing.
This can encourage the electric and hybrid car segments to continue growing and provide a real impact on the domestic automotive industry.
On the other hand, Geely does not only plan to market new cars. They also intend to provide the best service.
Especially for after-sales service, the brand from China is targeting 80 official dealers by the end of 2026.
Currently, there are 35 Geely dealers operating and serving consumers, spread across various strategic regions.
Starting from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek), and then several cities on the island of Java.
In addition, it also expands to the islands of Sumatra, Riau, Bali, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, thus reaching more consumers.
Geely is also able to ensure the availability of products and services in all regions of the country.
Finally, Geely had expressed its intention to build its own factory. However, it is not yet known when this plan will be implemented.
Currently, they are still utilizing the facilities of Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Purwakarta, West Java.
