KatadataOTO – Geely has finally announced the price of its newest model, the Starray EM-i. The car, which was introduced at the GIIAS 2025 event, is priced at IDR 499 million.
This price is a decrease compared to the GIIAS 2025 event. At that time, the car was offered at a price of IDR 499.8 million.
Although it's only a slight decrease, the price is still considered quite competitive. Especially since the options for PHEV vehicles are still limited at the moment.
“The Geely Starray EM-i is a car with new technology. So this will also be a testament to the quality of our vehicles,” said Evin Ye, Vice President of Geely Auto International Corporation.
The Geely Starray EM-i is locally produced in Indonesia and comes with various attractive advantages. This car is equipped with an electric motor producing 160 kW or 214 hp and 262 Nm of torque. This performance is supported by a battery with a capacity of 18.4 kWh.
The car is also equipped with fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
In addition, its performance is further enhanced by a 1,500 cc gasoline engine capable of producing 73 kW or 97 hp and 125 Nm of torque.
This combination allows it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8 seconds from a standstill. Meanwhile, the maximum speed it can reach is 170 km/h.
Despite its attractive performance, its fuel consumption is claimed to be optimal. Based on NEDC, the vehicle can travel more than 1,000 km when the gasoline and battery are full.
Besides offering performance, the Geely Starray also comes with an attractive design, especially from the front. The Chinese manufacturer has equipped it with sharp LED lights and a panoramic sunroof to give it a luxurious impression.
Inside the cabin, customers will be spoiled by various interesting features such as a 15.4-inch central screen. This feature can connect to smartphones using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The audio system is also not to be underestimated, as Geely has installed 16 speakers. This number consists of 5 midrange speakers, 4 tweeters, 2 headrest speakers, 4 woofers, and 1 standalone subwoofer.
The Geely Starray EM-I is also equipped with a Level 2 ADAS system with several main features. These include Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Information, Lane Keeping Assist, and so on.
