KatadataOTO – Still part of the Geely Media Trip to China, this time we had the opportunity to see their product lineup firsthand at Auto Shanghai 2025.

The Geely booth at NECC (National Exhibition and Convention Center) is in hall 6.1. A standout unit at the exhibition was the appearance of the Geely Galaxy Cruiser.

This boxy-style SUV is claimed to have many advantages. One of them is being able to submerge in water.

In addition, there were also several of Geely's flagship models for the Chinese and global markets. There was even a prospective product that will be marketed in Indonesia this year.

Then, not to be missed, was the Geely Galaxy E5, or better known as the EX5 for the Indonesian market. Thousands of Geely EX5 units are reportedly already in the country.

Also not to be missed was the latest prospective product to enter Indonesia, the Geely Geome Xingyuan or Starwish.

Meanwhile, in the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) category, the Geely Xingjian 7 or Starship 7 also has a chance of being introduced. This model will challenge the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH and Jaecoo J7 domestically.

There was also the Geely Monjaro, claimed to be the best-selling SUV in the Chinese market. The car is already marketed globally.

Finally, there was the Geely Mini Panda, which was placed at the back of the stage. The tiny electric car attracted the attention of several exhibition visitors.

Speaking of technology, Geely continues to develop innovations in its vehicle lineup, such as batteries as the car's power source.

In this regard, Geely also announced the launch of Jiyaotongxing. It is a new battery industry formed in an integrated manner with other businesses.

They continue to develop the safety level of the batteries. For your information, the Chinese government has just announced that all manufacturers must improve the safety of electric vehicle batteries.

This can increase the comfort of electric vehicle users in the future.

Geely itself uses its flagship Short Blade battery technology. On the Geely EX5, for example, recharging from 30 percent to 80 percent takes only 20 minutes.
