KatadataOTO – Omoda and Jaecoo successfully recorded positive global sales figures in September 2025. The two vehicle brands from China managed to record sales of 32,840 units worldwide.
This figure is claimed to be the highest achievement for both companies. In the 29 months since their launch, the total global sales of Omoda and Jaecoo have reached 244,522 units, a growth of 39 percent compared to the previous year.
This record is due to many factors, especially growth in several key countries. In Mexico, for example, there was a 40 percent surge in demand compared to before.
Then, Thailand also recorded significant sales, managing to sell more than 4,000 units in one month.
In Europe, Omoda and Jaecoo also recorded a positive trend despite market pressure. A total of 11,663 units were exported to this region throughout September 2025.
Another driving factor for this growth is the high global market demand for New Energy Vehicles. In September, their sales reached 18,999 units, or 57 percent of the total global sales for Omoda and Jaecoo.
From January to September, the total NEV sales for Omoda and Jaecoo have surpassed 110,000 units. One model that has captured attention is the Jaecoo J7 SHS, which has sold 6,471 units globally.
Thanks to this, Jaecoo's total sales throughout 2025 are 70,000 units, distributed across various countries. From the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Brazil, to Mexico.
The Super Hybrid System (SHS) technology featured in the J7 is a main attraction. This system allows for optimal fuel efficiency, resulting in a longer driving range.
This model has been launched in Indonesia since mid-2025. This car combines a 1,500 cc turbocharged engine with an 18.3 kWh LFP battery.
The combination of the two is said to allow the car to travel 1,300 km on a single charge and a full tank of gasoline.
In terms of features, the Jaecoo J7 is equipped with 19 ADAS functions, including blind spot detection, lane keep assist, traffic jam assist, and up to eight airbags.
Then there is a 540-degree panoramic camera that displays the vehicle's surroundings on a 14.8-inch touchscreen, which also integrates wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
