KatadataOTO – GWM will bring their newest model for consumers through the GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) 2025 event.

The model is the GWM Tank 300 Diesel. It should be noted that currently, the GWM Tank 300 in Indonesia is sold as a hybrid car.

Based on KatadataOTO's observation at ICE BSD on Tuesday (22/07), the GWM Tank 300 Diesel is already on display at the booth for GIIAS 2025.

In terms of appearance, the GWM Tank 300 Diesel is not much different from its hybrid version.

Entering the cabin, a number of modern features are embedded in the GWM Tank 300 Diesel. Such as a 360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Rear Differential Lock.

This SUV has a two-row configuration, able to accommodate up to five passengers in its cabin.

Speaking of the powertrain, the GWM Tank 300 Diesel is equipped with a 2,400 cc turbo diesel engine and hybrid technology.

With this configuration, the GWM Tank 300 Diesel is claimed to produce 181 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm.

In Indonesia, the GWM Tank 300 uses a 2,000 cc powertrain equipped with hybrid technology in the form of a 1.76 kWh battery.

As a result, the car can produce a maximum power of 342 hp and a peak torque of 648 Nm, delivered to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

For a rough estimate, the GWM Tank 300 Hybrid is sold domestically for around IDR 828 million on the road in Jakarta.

This competitive price is expected to make the GWM Tank 300 a choice for consumers who want an off-road style car.

The unit present at GIIAS 2025 has the potential to be priced below the Tank 300 hybrid type.

Registered at Samsat-PKB, the NJKB (Motor Vehicle Sale Value) for the Tank 300 Diesel is in the range of IDR 429 million.

However, it should be noted that this figure cannot be used as a final benchmark. This is because it does not yet include other costs such as taxes.

The GWM Tank 300 Diesel can be seen at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition, which will be held starting July 24. Tickets can be purchased online or directly at the exhibition location, namely ICE BSD, Tangerang.
