KatadataOTO – The arrival of the GWM Tank 300 Diesel is a new option for offroad enthusiasts. It offers various advantages claimed to pamper its owner.

In fact, this product from the Chinese manufacturer is said to have received a positive reception from domestic consumers.

According to GWM, their new product has successfully been ordered in hundreds of units since its launch at the GIIAS 2025 event.

It has also contributed positively to GWM's new car sales in the country in recent months.

Coincidentally, KatadataOTO was given the opportunity to try out the GWM TANK 300 Diesel on the Cisadon trail, Sentul, West Java. Here's a look at the excitement during the test drive.

Design

In terms of appearance, the Tank 300 Diesel has a boxy shape. There is no difference from the previous version (hybrid).

The only differentiator between the two types is the HEV emblem on the rear. Other than that, they are similar to each other.

A large bumper is fitted at the front. Emphasizing the tough aura of the GWM Tank 300 Diesel.

To pamper its owners, this car is equipped with an LED lighting system at the front and rear.

As for its dimensions, it has a length of 4,760 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, a height of 1,903, and a ground clearance of 224 mm.

The undercarriage is equipped with 17-inch wheels. Wrapped in Continental Crosscontact AX6 AT tires sized 265/65 at the front and rear.

Interior

Entering the cabin, the GWM Tank 300 Diesel offers a sporty impression. Because the seats, steering wheel, and dashboard are finished in black.

The driver and front passenger seats are electrically adjustable. Making it easy for the owner to find a comfortable position.

The steering wheel has tilt and telescopic adjustments. Useful for finding the ideal driving position.

GWM also provides a number of buttons on the steering wheel. They function to operate entertainment and safety features.
