Hearing Complaints, Chery is Ready to Evaluate Spare Parts Availability System

KatadataOTO – Chery admits that many people assume their spare parts are difficult to obtain. Therefore, they will make various improvements to ensure customer satisfaction is better maintained.

Starting from improving the system to expanding its network. Thus, it is hoped that the public can receive better service.

“Actually, it's just a system issue. So before the Grand Opening, we had already checked all capacities, including spare parts, and everything had to be complete,” said Rifkie Setiawan, Head of Brand Department at PT Chery Sales Indonesia.

Meanwhile, for slow-moving spare parts that are not yet available, dealers can order from the main distributor. Components will then be provided from the factory.

“So the spare parts use components that are at the factory,” he added.

Nevertheless, he ensures that they will continue to improve the spare parts availability system. Thus, it is hoped that the public's perception of spare parts availability will improve.

“From a logistics perspective, we are already working with a third party. So it's just a matter of how stock management at each dealership can be improved,” he then added.

Once the system is mature, it is hoped that there will no longer be an assumption that Chery spare parts are hard to find.

Dealer Expansion

Not only that, Chery also plans to increase the number of their dealerships to 150 outlets. This number is a sharp increase compared to the current total network.

“By the end of this year, we will have 80 outlets, and in 2026 the target is to increase to 150 networks,” he said.

Thus, it is hoped that it will be easier for the public to make purchases and get maintenance.

“We have also established body repair shops to make it easier for customers to get repairs. The number is not yet large, but it is starting to increase,” he affirmed.

This dealer expansion is considered important because Chery is confirmed to be launching more models. One of them is the Chery X, which has already been introduced at GJAW 2025.

The presence of this model could attract business people who typically make fleet purchases.
