KatadataOTO – Honda Sales in January 2025 experienced a decline compared to the same period last year. In an official statement, it was mentioned that this correction occurred because the market also weakened.

Nevertheless, sales of the Honda Brio and HR-V were still quite good, allowing the company to maintain its market share.

“Entering 2025, the automotive market experienced a fairly deep downward trend compared to the previous month. However, Honda managed to maintain its market share, supported by the Honda Brio which recorded positive results and the Honda HR-V which continues to lead in its class,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing & After Sales Director of PT HPM in an official statement some time ago.

Based on the data provided, Honda's sales in January 2025 amounted to 8,757 units. This figure is below the achievement in December 2024, which was 10,696 units.

Even in January 2024, their retail sales record was still better at 10,019 units.

The Honda Brio was still the largest contributor to retail sales in January 2025. The model recorded sales of 4,409 units, contributing 50.3 percent to Honda's total sales.

The second position was occupied by the Honda HR-V with 1,908 units. That figure was enough to make it the best-selling model in its class.

Meanwhile, the Honda BR-V also received significant demand from the public. In the data obtained by KatadataOTO, its sales amounted to 1,058 units.

Then the Honda WR-V with 986 units, the CR-V with 229 units, and other models with 167 units.

Despite the sales decline, Honda affirmed its optimism that sales will increase in the coming months. Especially with Eid al-Fitr taking place in early April 2025, when demand usually increases to meet homecoming travel needs.

To not lose momentum, they are ensuring various conveniences are available for customers who wish to purchase a vehicle. With this, it is hoped that consumers can more easily obtain a unit.

“To continue this momentum, we are presenting various attractive sales programs to make it easier for customers to own a Honda vehicle,” concluded Yusak Billy.
