KatadataOTO – Honda Sales in March 2025 recorded a figure of 8,165 units, an increase of 5.3 percent from February 2025. In that month, they only achieved sales of 7,754 units.
Thanks to this, throughout the first quarter of 2025, they recorded retail sales figures of 24,676 units. The Japanese manufacturer thus sits as the third best-selling car manufacturer in Indonesia, only behind Toyota and Daihatsu.
However, it should be noted that these retail sales are actually much lower than the achievement in 2024. This is because in the third quarter of 2024, Honda achieved retail sales of 29,738 units.
Throughout March 2025, the Honda Brio remained the backbone, contributing up to 52 percent of total sales. The model was successfully delivered to 4,260 customers.
Meanwhile, the Honda HR-V ranked second with sales of 1,618 units.
Another positive note was also set by the Honda BR-V. The seven-seater SUV was recorded to have sold 1,113 units, a growth of 25 percent from February 2025.
Next is the Honda WR-V with sales reaching 812 units. Then the Honda CR-V achieved 230 units.
“Although economic and market conditions are still dynamic, consumer demand for efficient and comfortable cars remains high,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor in his official statement (17/04).
He also did not deny that the achievement they reached in March 2024 was due to numerous sales programs, making it easier for the public to get a vehicle according to their needs and financial condition.
“In the future, we will continue to provide various conveniences for consumers throughout Indonesia through relevant and attractive programs,” he then added.
It should be noted that in general, car sales in Indonesia in March 2025 experienced growth compared to the previous month. A total of 76,582 units were successfully sold, which is higher than in February 2025 with only 69,872 units and January with 64,029 units.
But it should be noted that the total retail sales for the first quarter of 2025 were 210,483 units, a decrease compared to the same period last year which saw 231,027 units.
