Hyundai Gowa is offering an inspection service for customers whose cars were recently submerged in floods.

KatadataOTO – The major floods that hit several areas in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) some time ago have brought new problems for car owners.
This is because many four-wheeled vehicles were damaged after being submerged in water for a long time, thus requiring special handling.
Hyundai Gowa has also opened a service to check flood-submerged cars belonging to their customers.
“As part of our commitment to providing the best service, Hyundai Gowa is always ready to serve customers,” said Chitra Ortho Prayundityo, Operation Manager of Hyundai Gowa in South Jakarta on Tuesday (11/03).
Chitra stated that customers can contact them directly if they intend to have an inspection done.
The cost starts from just Rp 500 thousand. Later, there will be 30 items that mechanics will check on the customer's Hyundai car.
This includes checking the AC filter, spark plugs, radiator fluid, parking brake, horn, tire condition, wiper fluid, and engine oil leaks.
Not to forget the electrical system check to ensure no water is left, thereby minimizing the risk of a short circuit in your four-wheeled vehicle.
“This Rp 500 thousand fee is for small-sized Hyundai cars and older models,” Chitra continued.
Meanwhile, for Hyundai Stargazer and Creta users, a fee of Rp 750 thousand is required to take advantage of the above program.
Then for owners of Hyundai Palisade to Staria affected by the flood, they must spend Rp 1 million to have their vehicles inspected.
It should be noted that the amount above does not include the cost of replacing components damaged by being submerged in water.
“Since the program was just launched, many customers have started asking about this flood handling,” he added.
For your information, the check for flood-submerged cars is valid nationwide. So customers can directly visit any Hyundai Gowa dealer in the country.
It is important to know that a four-wheeled vehicle that has been submerged in a flood should not be started or driven immediately. This is because there is a lot of water inside the car, which can potentially damage various engine components.
Then there is also the threat of damage to the transmission system, especially for automatic cars, considering that these vehicles are largely controlled electronically or by a computer.
