KatadataOTO – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) launched its first product in 2026, the Hyundai Creta Alpha.

Last year, the Creta was also the first Hyundai model to receive a refresh and was presented to consumers in early 2025.

The Hyundai Creta is one of the backbones of Hyundai's sales, competing in the compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment.

“We listen to consumer needs and know that customer needs continue to evolve,” said Kenny Lee, President Director of PT HMID during the online launch on Wednesday (07/01).

It was further explained that the first four cities to host the launch of the Hyundai New Creta Alpha are Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Batam.

After that, exhibitions will be held in 15 different cities across Indonesia. This will allow consumers to see Hyundai's newest product for 2026 firsthand.

Regarding the changes, it was explained that the Hyundai New Creta Alpha has a more robust appearance and is equipped with new features to make it easier for its owners.

“The updates prioritize design and convenience. It has a bolder, more exclusive look, and includes an Electric Power Tailgate,” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID on the same occasion.

He emphasized that the presence of the Hyundai New Creta Alpha as their first product this year is a form of responsibility towards consumer feedback.

For interested consumers, the Hyundai New Creta Alpha is now available at official dealerships in Indonesia.

The Hyundai New Creta Alpha is sold at a competitive price of Rp 455 million on the road in Jakarta. This price is possible because the New Creta Alpha has Completely Knocked Down (CKD) status, meaning it is locally assembled.

“This is tangible proof that Hyundai is investing for the long term in Indonesia,” Frans affirmed.

Since the changes only focus on features and cosmetics, the engine configuration is the same as the standard Creta variant, with a 1,500 cc displacement.

The price of the Hyundai New Creta Alpha is lower than the N Line variant, which is Rp 473 million. The Alpha type can be an alternative for consumers who want a Creta with a sporty feel.
