The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid could arrive soon, as its Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) has been registered on the Samsat PKB website.
KatadataOTO – PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) recently registered one of their newest products at the Samsat PKB. Based on KatadataOTO's findings, there are five new model variants strongly suspected to be the Palisade Hybrid.
Referring to this information, the NJKB for the Palisade Hybrid (HEV) is listed from IDR 472 million to IDR 530 million, but it should be noted that this is the figure before taxes and other fees. Uniquely, this time there is no gasoline engine variant.
For your information, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid previously debuted in South Korea in early December 2024. This latest generation has a boxier and more aggressive look compared to its predecessor.
Not only that, the diesel variant will be discontinued. So, there will only be two types available for consumers: the conventional engine version and the hybrid.
A similar step was previously taken with the latest generation of the Santa Fe. Besides a complete change in appearance, its powertrain was also updated, and the diesel variant was eliminated.
If it comes to Indonesia, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will be PT HMID's third hybrid vehicle model. However, it is not yet certain whether the new Palisade will be locally assembled.
Considering the government has now officially provided a hybrid car incentive of three percent for vehicles that meet the requirements.
Although the rules have not been detailed, it seems one of the requirements to receive the hybrid car incentive is the same as the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) subsidy regulation, which is that the vehicle must be locally assembled and have a TKDN (Domestic Component Level) of at least 40 percent.
Referring to the global specifications, the second-generation Palisade is offered with two powertrain options: a 2,500 cc Turbo and a 2,500 cc Turbo Hybrid.
Regarding performance, the gasoline engine type is claimed on paper to produce 277.1 hp with a peak torque of 421.6 Nm. Meanwhile, the hybrid variant can produce 329.4 hp, a combination of the conventional engine and an electric motor.
For your information, the Hyundai Palisade is currently offered in five variants with prices ranging from IDR 900 million to IDR 1.2 billion OTR (On The Road) Jakarta.
The newest Hyundai Palisade will likely be sold at a higher price, especially if it is still a CBU (Completely Built Up) unit. The Palisade in Indonesia is also currently a complete import from South Korea.
However, the possibility of local assembly is not ruled out. Because if it is assembled domestically, it will have the opportunity to receive incentives from the government.
