The 7-seater MPV Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz has been converted into an ambulance to facilitate evacuation efforts in Sumatra.
KatadataOTO – PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) has contributed to humanitarian and disaster relief efforts in Indonesia by donating one unit of a Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz ambulance.
The vehicle is expected to help with the mobility of health services for communities affected by floods and landslides in several areas of Sumatra, namely North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
The presence of one Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz ambulance unit is also intended to facilitate the evacuation and medical treatment processes for the affected communities.
“We hope to help accelerate medical treatment and support the government's efforts in providing the best services for people in need,” said Hyunchul Bang, President Director of PT HMMI in his official statement, quoted on Monday (01/01).
The 7-seater Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) was converted into an ambulance. The cabin seats were replaced with an empty space for a patient's bed, one seat in the middle row, and equipment such as an oxygen tank was placed on the side.
He further emphasized that the donation is also a form of Hyundai's social responsibility as part of the community.
The donation of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz ambulance version is also said to be in line with Hyundai's main foundation, which is the value of humanity.
Thus, its work in the country is not only focused on the development of the automotive industry but also on the welfare of the community.
For your information, Hyundai has often been involved in humanitarian actions in Indonesia. For example, during the Covid-19 pandemic a few years ago.
Hyundai helped provide free medical oxygen and health facilities for people in need.
It also donated an oxygen production machine to the Bekasi Regency Government. Then, it distributed oxygen machines with concentrators to several hospitals in West Java.
In the future, PT HMMI will continue to strengthen its presence as a strategic partner of the government and the Indonesian people, by strengthening a resilient and sustainable health system.
Furthermore, other sustainability programs oriented towards humanity, health, and safety will continue to be implemented in the country.
