Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz Spotted on the Road

KatadataOTO – Slowly, the puzzle of the new car from Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is being solved. This is because a number of automotive enthusiasts have started to spot the new product candidate from the manufacturer with the slanted H logo.

As uploaded by the Instagram account @iniceritamobil, their post shows a Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz.

The car appears to have a silver color. Then, its headlights are equipped with a DRL that extends from left to right, resembling the letter H, and it features a new bumper design.

Furthermore, the grille looks similar to the exterior design silhouette of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz that was circulated on Instagram some time ago.

Overall, the four-wheeled vehicle looks sportier than the previous version of the Hyundai Stargazer. This is because it has several sharp lines on its body.

Moving to the rear, the stop lamp of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz caught on camera still retains the characteristic features of the old version.

For your information, HMID had previously leaked the silhouette of their new product that will be launched soon.

“A car that understands the twists and turns of Indonesian roads,” wrote the @hyundaimotorindonesia account some time ago.

The post is a strong signal that the new model from the South Korean manufacturer is the Low Multi-Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz.

The Hyundai Stargazer has previously been marketed in Indonesia. The Stargazer X variant comes with a sportier look.

This time, PT HMID is believed to be introducing a Stargazer facelift. Referring to information on the Samsat PKB page, the new version will adopt the name Cartenz.

The price of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz is not expected to be much different. On the Samsat page, the Taxable Sales Value of Motor Vehicles (NJKB) for the car ranges from Rp 174 million to Rp 221 million.

However, the amount above does not include several taxes. Therefore, it will be slightly more expensive when officially marketed.

Since it is a facelift or a refresh, there will likely be no significant changes to the powertrain.

The Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz will most likely still rely on a 1,500 cc engine. Power is channeled through a manual or an IVT automatic transmission.

It is not yet known for certain when the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz will be launched. However, it is highly likely to be at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2025).
