Hyundai Stargazer Essential Tech Launches, Starting from Rp 200 Million

KatadataOTO – Towards the end of 2024, Hyundai registered a new model suspected to be a new type of Stargazer. At that time, its code name was STARGZRESENTECH4X2AT with a sale value of IDR 196 million.

At IIMS 2025, PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) finally officially launched the Stargazer Essential Tech, the newest type with a 2025 VIN that gets several additional features to support consumer needs.

The Stargazer was initially launched in 2022, followed by the Stargazer X at the GIIAS 2023 event. Currently, its price is offered starting from IDR 264.7 million to IDR 323.5 million.

The newest type, Stargazer Essential Tech, occupies a variant between the lowest and highest types. This adds an option for consumers of the Essential type if they want more complete technology.

“The price is not too different. The increase is only about IDR 10 million (from the Essential type), there are two new technologies, namely Bluelink and Hyundai Smartsense or ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System),” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID at JIExpo Kemayoran, Friday (14/2).

He further explained that this additional type was introduced due to feedback from consumers.

The hope is to change the perception of potential buyers who think that additional technology makes vehicle prices more expensive.

“There is a consumer segment that appreciates technology, that's in the Prime segment. But in reality, there are those in the middle segment who want to have Bluelink and Smartsense to help them (while driving),” said Frans.

Then the Style type, which was previously positioned before Prime, was discontinued. The following is the latest price list for the Hyundai Stargazer as of February 2025.
