KatadataOTO – Chery Group's sub-brand, Jaecoo attended the Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit or AIGIS 2025.

For your information, AIGIS 2025 is a forum initiated by the Ministry of Industry and involves various parties to support the transformation of a green and sustainable industry.

Through this event, Jaecoo introduced its line of environmentally friendly vehicles with Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) technology as an alternative to electric cars.

It should be noted that Jaecoo currently offers the hybrid car J7 SHS and J8 SHS for consumers in the country.

The J8 is equipped with an all-wheel drive system adopted from Range Rover and named ARDIS (All-road Drive Intelligent System).

The ARDIS technology allows the car to regulate the amount of torque distributed to each wheel according to the needs and road conditions.

“So, Jaecoo cars are not only efficient, but also provide maximum performance,” said Mohammad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing for Jaecoo Indonesia in Jakarta, on Friday (22/08).

According to him, this has also been proven through testing conducted by Jaecoo in Indonesia.

At that time, the J7 PHEV was tested on a journey from Jakarta to Bali covering a distance of 1,377 kilometers on a single tank of fuel and one battery charge.

He revealed that his party appreciates the Ministry of Industry's invitation to be a partner at AIGIS 2025 as it is an opportunity for Jaecoo to socialize PHEV.

Speaking of PHEV, a Jaecoo representative said that this technology is an alternative for people who want to use environmentally friendly vehicles without worrying about infrastructure.

“We are definitely still hesitant about Electric Vehicles (EVs) for long journeys. Thinking about whether our range is sufficient, when to charge,” said Ryan Ferdiean Tirto, Head of Product for Jaecoo Indonesia on the same occasion.

With a PHEV, consumers are given the option to fill the fuel tank or charge the battery to use electric power.

Its efficiency is claimed to be better because the car does not rely solely on the combustion engine but also on the battery and electric motor.

“We offer a technology we call SHS or Super Hybrid System, which can be a driving solution. The range is very long, around 1,400 kilometers,” Ryan emphasized.
