KatadataOTO – Jaecoo J5 EV has received a positive response since its price was announced. Many people are curious about the advantages of the electric car.
As observed by the KatadataOTO team at the Jaecoo Puri dealership in Kembangan, West Jakarta on Tuesday (04/11).
Several people were seen wanting to view the unit directly and test drive the Jaecoo J5 EV compact SUV.
They intended to try out the Jaecoo J5 EV directly, testing its performance and the features inside the vehicle.
On the other hand, the positive reception for the Jaecoo J5 EV was also noted from a consumer in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang.
He even admitted to buying the Jaecoo electric car after canceling his order for the BYD Atto 1. This was after considering various factors.
“First, of course, is the car's availability; the BYD Atto 1 had a long waiting list and was not becoming available,” Radito told KatadataOTO (03/11).
Furthermore, he considers the Jaecoo J5 EV to have good value for money. The price of the electric car is also considered very competitive.
Radito said the price of the J5 unit is not much different from the BYD Atto 1. Therefore, he was very interested in buying the Jaecoo J5 EV.
“The Jaecoo J5 EV clearly has a longer range. Its dimensions are larger for an SUV, as my previous car was an SUV,” he continued.
Based on the various considerations above, Radito chose to buy the premium variant of the Jaecoo J5 EV for his family at home.
Indeed, upon inspection, the price of the Jaecoo J5 EV is very competitive. The standard type is priced at Rp 249.9 million.
Meanwhile, the premium or most expensive variant is priced at Rp 299.9 million. However, this price is for the first 1,000 buyers.
The price above surprised many parties. However, the manufacturer denies that its move is disrupting the market.
They stated that the Jaecoo J5 EV's price is a strategy for consumer penetration.
This is because the Jaecoo J5 EV offers many advantages compared to its rivals. Therefore, the offered price is considered appropriate.
“We want to build the trust first, so we are giving a price that we have tried our very best to offer,” said Zheng Shuo, President Director of Chery Group in Jakarta.
He is also optimistic that the Jaecoo J5 EV will be well-received by the people of Indonesia. Thus, it can achieve success like their other products.
