KatadataOTO – Chinese automotive manufacturer, Jaecoo has received a positive response for the sales of several of its flagship vehicle lines.

This includes their new product, the Jaecoo J5 EV. They claim the electric car has already been ordered up to 6,000 units.

However, Jaecoo is reluctant to disclose the total number of car units that have been delivered to consumers or its target for 2025.

But they confirmed that by next year, Jaecoo will distribute at least 10,000 car units to consumers.

“We will deliver 10,000 units (of Jaecoo cars) by February 2026,” said Jim Ma, Business Unit Director of Jaecoo Indonesia in Tangerang some time ago.

Referring to data from Gaikindo, from the period of August to October 2025, retail sales figures (distribution from dealers to consumers) have just reached 604 units,

The highest figure was in August with 290 units. Throughout 2025, the contributing models are the Jaecoo J5 EV, J7, J7 SHS, J8 Ardis, and J8 SHS.

To continue attracting consumer interest in their vehicle lineup, Jaecoo will strive to maintain their competitive pricing, especially for the J5 EV.

It should be noted that the Jaecoo J5 EV is currently sold for IDR 249.9 million for the Standard type and IDR 299.9 million specifically for its top variant. This price is on-the-road for Jakarta.

As of now, Jaecoo has stated that they will not be adjusting the price of the Jaecoo J5 EV in the Indonesian market.

“We are looking for a good price for the market. Everything depends on the market's reaction,” Jim Ma affirmed.

There is still one month left for Jaecoo to catch up on deliveries to consumers, specifically for the J5 EV which has garnered 6,000 orders.
