KatadataOTO – The impact of the 12 percent VAT implementation by President Prabowo Subianto's administration seems to be starting to be felt. Especially in the automotive industry sector in Indonesia.
This is because the price of LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) vehicles was observed to start increasing in mid-January 2025.
Just a week ago, Toyota, Daihatsu, and Honda had not yet raised the prices of their products.
However, now all have seen an increase. Quoting the official Daihatsu website on Monday (13/1), the Ayla 1.0 M MT is sold for Rp 138.5 million in Jakarta.
Making it the cheapest LCGC car. Then, the Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 D MT saw an increase, marketed at Rp 141.5 million.
Then, TAM (Toyota Astra Motor) is marketing the Toyota Calya 1.2 E MT STD at Rp 169.6 million. Meanwhile, the Agya 1.2 E MT can be had for around Rp 173.2 million.
On the other hand, the price of the Honda Brio is quite attention-grabbing. As it reached Rp 202.5 million for the highest variant, the E CVT.
Looking at the data above, the Honda Brio also holds the status of the most expensive LCGC. Considering its competitors are still in the range of Rp 130 million to Rp 190 million.
