KatadataOTO – MG Motor Indonesia launched two special models at the GIIAS 2025 event. They unveiled the MG4 EV Max and the new Cyberster color.

The presence of the MG4 EV Max is to meet the demand for an electric car with a longer range.

Meanwhile, the MG Cyberster is now offered in a modern Beige color option. It also has a red-colored roof.

“The launch of the MG4 EV Max and the new Cyberster variant reflects our commitment to Indonesian consumers. This is not just a product launch, but a real step towards a smarter future of mobility,” said Jason Huang, Chief Executive Officer of MG Motor Indonesia at ICE BSD (23/07).

The MG EV Max is equipped with a 64 kWh battery that allows the vehicle to travel up to 540 km (NEDC).

Relying on rear-wheel drive, the MG4 EV is claimed to be able to produce 200 hp.

Furthermore, the MG4 EV Max also supports DC fast charging up to 144 kW, making the charging process simpler and more efficient.

This electric car is also equipped with a 3-mode KERS system, allowing it to adjust the efficiency level as needed.

The MG4 EV Max is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen for the infotainment system.

Equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity systems plus a wireless charging tray that provides more convenience.

Then there is i-Smart technology which allows users to monitor and control the car via a smartphone.

Various commands can be performed, including voice commands, online navigation, vehicle status monitoring, and remote control.

The V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) feature is also available to supply power to external devices when needed.

The MG4 EV Max is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system, including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert for door opening.

The MG4 EV Max is marketed in Indonesia at a price of IDR 419 million on the road in Jakarta. Only 100 units of this model are available.
