KatadataOTO – The automotive awards event from the Indonesian Automotive Journalists Forum or Forwot was held today, Tuesday (16/12).

Titled Forwot Car of The Year 2025, a series of vehicles were selected based on a number of criteria across all segments.

There are categories for Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), and Electric Vehicle.

“The selection process remains objective and tiered, carried out through voting and of course adjusted to the climate and dynamics of the national automotive industry,” said Arie Prasetya, Chairman of Forwot in Jakarta, Tuesday.

All cars launched in the last year were included in the assessment for Forwot Car of The Year 2025.

“Forwot Car of The Year is expected to identify worthy vehicle models, serving as a reference for the public, especially for potential buyers in Indonesia,” Arie emphasized.

In addition to the main categories, Forwot also gave appreciation for several criteria such as car design, after-sales service, value for money, features, and the best Public Relations or Company.

On this occasion, the Mitsubishi Destinator won the award for the best gasoline-engine car.
