KatadataOTONissan is currently facing an unfavorable situation. A financial crisis has led to unpleasant rumors about them.

One of them is the closure of Nissan factories in several locations, as a result of the ongoing financial problems.

Furthermore, the manufacturer from the Land of the Rising Sun explained that they have indeed announced a move to consolidate the production of the Nissan Frontier and Nissan Navara pickups.

Production, which was previously split between Mexico and Argentina, will be centralized at a single product HUB at the CIVAC plant, Morelos, Mexico.

This move is said by the company to be part of its strategy and to strengthen the supply chain in the region.

In addition, Nissan also confirmed that last March, the Renault Group took over 100 percent of the shares of RNAIPL (Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd).

With the above move, Nissan frees up capital and has the right to use the factory for production through an agreement without bearing full operational obligations, focusing on expansion.

Based on these facts, Nissan will not provide further comment on the circulating rumors.

The company affirmed its commitment to transparency and full support for its workforce, which it considers a key strength in driving the success of its global operations.

“For now, we will not provide any further comment on this matter,” they continued.

For your information, Nissan has been the talk of the town recently. Various reports state that the car manufacturer plans to close several factories.

On the other hand, it's not just the issue of factory closures; tens of thousands of Nissan employees are also threatened with layoffs (Termination of Employment) due to the financial crisis.
