KatadataOTO – Unlike its global strategy, Hyundai Motors Indonesia is reluctant to bring the diesel-engined Hyundai Palisade to the country. They are only focusing on bringing the hybrid variant in three types.

This decision was claimed not to have been made carelessly. This is because they had already conducted various studies before finally deciding not to bring the diesel engine variant.

“People look for diesel engines for two reasons: power and efficiency. From there, we tried to compare it with the hybrid, and it turned out that those needs were successfully met,” said Wahyu Kusuma Danny, Head of Product at Hyundai Motors Indonesia (13/06)

According to him, the performance of the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is quite substantial. Moreover, they are already using a 2,497 cc Smartstream Turbo Hybrid engine capable of producing 329 hp and 460 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the hybrid technology used is also fuel-efficient. This is because the car's battery has a fairly large capacity and is equipped with two electric motors with different functions, namely to assist performance and to recharge the power,

Unfortunately, when asked for more details, he declined to disclose the vehicle's fuel consumption.

It was previously reported that the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid has been officially launched in the country. This car, fully imported from South Korea, comes in three variants: Signature, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy AWD.

In general, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid comes with a sporty design. However, the modern impression is increasingly felt due to the presence of a hidden-type LED Daytime Running Light (DRL), a shark fin antenna, and a dual sunroof.

Entering the cabin, customers will be pampered with Nappa leather-upholstered seats, making it comfortable for long journeys. Hyundai has also designed it so that head and legroom remain spacious in all rows to ensure comfort for all passengers.

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is also equipped with a 12.3-inch panoramic curved display consisting of a digital cluster and infotainment. Additionally, a Bose Premium system with 14 speakers and ambient lighting that can be adjusted to the mood is available.

Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Price List

  • Signature : Rp 1.105 billion
  • Calligraphy : Rp 1.274 billion
  • Calligraphy AWD : Rp 1.359 billion
