KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) presents its newest SUV, the Fronx. The arrival of the Suzuki Fronx in Indonesia was not without careful preparation.

Although it uses capable technology, the coupe-style SUV is believed to be easy to maintain. This makes it easier for consumers.

One reason is the similarity of components with previous models. This makes vehicle maintenance much easier.

“Around 1,100 components of the Suzuki Fronx are exclusive to this model. However, in total, the Fronx has more than 6,000 parts,” said Christiana Yuwantie, Asst. to Aftersales Department Head of Spareparts at PT SIS at ICE BSD (28/07).

In other words, there are still around 5,000 Suzuki Fronx components that can be substituted. This is because it still uses the K15-coded engine.

As a reminder, the Suzuki Fronx uses the K15B and K15C coded engines. The latest version is said to carry mild hybrid technology.

The K15-coded engine has also been installed in other flagship Suzuki models. Models from the Carry to the XL7 use a similar powertrain.

This vehicle's power source is a four-cylinder, 16-valve engine with Dual VVT (Variable Valve Timing) technology. It has a displacement of 1,462 cc and is known to be reliable on all terrains.

The K15B in the Suzuki Fronx can deliver 103 hp at 6,000 rpm, while its peak torque is believed to reach 138 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

Then, the K15C engine with similar specifications is believed to produce a maximum power of 99 hp at 6,000 rpm, while its peak torque is 135 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

For the GL variant using the K15B engine, two options are offered: a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.

The Suzuki Fronx GX and SGX types rely on a 6-speed automatic transmission, providing smoother gear shifts which impacts driving comfort.

During GIIAS 2025, PT SIS is presenting a variety of accessories for the Suzuki Fronx. This is an answer to the needs of the public, especially Fronx users.

The components offered are quite affordable. For example, the Rigid Mud Flap is marketed at a starting price of Rp 175 thousand.

To complement Suzuki Fronx users, merchandise such as Lanyards and Key Wallets are also provided. This can provide a professional impression.
