KatadataOTO – Car sales for pickup trucks in November 2025 in Indonesia successfully achieved a positive record again. Based on Gaikindo data, retail sales from this segment experienced growth compared to the previous month.

It was recorded that pickups with a GVW of less than 5 tons sold 11,299 units. This figure surged compared to the achievement in October 2025, which was only 10,818 units.

Thanks to this, the total delivery of pickups from dealers to consumers amounted to 98,173 units. That number is equivalent to 13.3 percent of total national car sales.

The positive record was not limited to retail sales but also included wholesales. Unit shipments from factories to dealers also managed to record a positive figure in November 2025.

The Gaikindo data stated that at least 11,662 units were successfully shipped to dealers. That number grew compared to the previous month, which was only 10,362 units.

Thus, total vehicle shipments reached 93,789 units. The total market share obtained reached 13.2 percent.

Driving Sales Increase

The record in the pickup segment also drove national car sales in November 2025. Although still under pressure and far from recovered, the vehicle market is starting to grow from month to month.

In November 2025, retail sales figures in Indonesia reached 79,310 units. This figure is 4,590 units more, or an increase of 6.1 percent, compared to the previous month, which was only 74,720 units

The achievement was even greater than in November 2024, which only reached 76,473 units. Meanwhile, the total new car sales from January to November 2025 successfully reached 739,977 units.

It should be noted that the figure above is still far from the achievement in the same period in 2024, as last year recorded 807,586 units.

A difference of about 67,609 units, or a decrease of 8.4 percent, was recorded between the achievements in 2025 and 2024. The heavy pressure led Gaikindo to revise the target for four-wheeled vehicle sales this year.

The association only hopes that at least 780,000 new cars will be successfully sold to consumers in the country.
