KatadataOTO – The GWM Haval Jolion Ultra is one of the hybrid cars marketed in Indonesia. It is claimed to provide a sense of security to its owners.

This is because the four-wheeled vehicle is equipped with a number of the latest safety features, namely Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Level 2.

Consisting of intelligent cruise assist, smart turning, lane center keeping, smart evade, forward collision warning, and automated emergency braking.

Thanks to the series of modern features above, GWM invited the media to test the toughness of their hybrid car.

"Inchcape Indonesia is committed to always implementing the highest production standards, to ensure the quality of every vehicle produced," said Ingbert Grombach, Assembly Plant Chief Executive Officer of Inchcape Indonesia, on Monday (02/06).

There were four testing sessions designed to demonstrate the vehicle's advantages, such as the acceleration test, blind parking test, slalom handling course, and autonomous braking test.

In the acceleration test session, the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra was taken to accelerate to test its 1,500 cc engine with 187 hp and 375 Nm of torque.

Thanks to the existing launch control feature, the GWM hybrid car can accelerate quickly without losing traction. Thus, reaching a speed of 100 km per hour is not difficult.

Then, in the slalom handling course session, the stability and agility of the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra were also tested.

The compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) was maneuvered in a figure-eight pattern with different dimensions.

The four-wheeled vehicle was still able to maneuver without losing stability, making it reliable for daily activities.

Next, in the third test, drivers were invited to perform a blind parking test. Participants were challenged to park the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra in a narrow space with all the car windows completely covered.

Drivers could only rely on the 360° camera feature via the 12.3-inch multi-touch infotainment screen as a guide.

Through this feature, participants could still monitor the conditions outside the vehicle comprehensively with a visual display.
