Pros and Cons of the MG ZS EV Electric Car

KatadataOTO – MG ZS EV is one of the electric car options for the Indonesian public. The compact SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) was just launched in early 2024.

This electric vehicle is already produced locally, or CKD (Completely Knock Down), in Cikarang, West Java.

Discussing the exterior of the MG ZS EV is one of the interesting aspects. Because its rounded body with subtle curves creates a sporty character.

Compared to the gasoline version, the differences in the MG ZS EV are the shape of the grille and the wheels. In the electric version, the grille is closed and body-colored.

There is only a small compartment near the right headlight for recharging the battery. Meanwhile, the wheels use a two-tone model, typical of environmentally friendly cars in general.

As a compact SUV, the MG ZS EV has dimensions of 4,323 mm in length, 1,809 mm in width, and 1,649 mm in height.

The figures above sufficiently illustrate that this SUV has a fairly spacious cabin. Moreover, the MG ZS EV has a capacity for 5 passengers.

Another attractive feature of the vehicle's appearance is the presence of roof rails, which are claimed to be able to support a load of up to 50 kg.

Not to forget, there is a large glass panel on the car's roof equipped with the i-MAX panoramic sunroof feature.

Entering the cabin, the MG ZS EV appears to have a sporty feel. The door trim, seats, and dashboard are black with red stitching.

As a modern car, it is of course equipped with wireless charging and both Type-C and Type-A USB ports. This keeps the driver and passengers connected to the outside world.

The unit's connectivity system already supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

For the driver, there is a 7-inch MID screen. It displays various vehicle information, including driving modes, safety features, TPMS, and much more.
