The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is offered starting from IDR 1.1 billion, with pre-orders already opened by PT HMID.
KatadataOTO – After teasing its arrival some time ago, PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia) has finally officially opened orders for the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid for Indonesian consumers.
The model was also previously registered in Indonesia, giving a strong signal of the Palisade Hybrid's launch this year.
According to a statement from Hyundai, the Palisade Hybrid will be available in three variant options, namely Signature, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy AWD (All Wheel Drive).
“This is a manifestation of our commitment to providing technology that is not only advanced but also relevant to the increasingly mature and selective Indonesian market,” said Ju Hun Lee, President Director of PT HMID in an official broadcast, quoted on Monday (02/06).
The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid still maintains the sporty impression of the previous version, but is more elegant with a new grille design and a boxier shape.
The second-generation Palisade targets modern families who want a premium driving experience.
“We are presenting the all-new Palisade Hybrid as an update that combines the signature comfort of the Palisade with the latest environmentally friendly technology, so that this model can meet the needs of increasingly dynamic and modern consumers,” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID.
The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid will be offered starting from Rp 1.1 billion (Signature variant). The lowest type is only Rp 11 million different from the first-generation Signature at Rp 1.08 billion.
For your information, the previous generation Palisade is currently sold in five different types. Here is the price list for reference.
Referring to the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid specifications for the global market, the engine options offered are a 2,500 cc Turbo and a 2,500 cc Turbo Hybrid, producing 277.1 hp to 329.4 hp with a peak torque of 421.6 Nm.
The Palisade Hybrid will complete Hyundai's HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) lineup in the country, which is currently filled by the Santa Fe and Tucson.
However, there is no information yet on whether the second-generation Palisade will be locally assembled like the Santa Fe Hybrid.
