KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is showcasing its flagship models at the IIMS 2025 event. However, of all the products exhibited, there are two vehicles that are not subject to the 12 percent tax.

As a reminder, the Government has officially decided on a 12 percent VAT (Value Added Tax). This is an increase of 1 percent from the previous year.

However, this increase only applies to goods and services that are classified as luxury items. Passenger cars themselves are said to be included in this category.

However, the rule above does not apply to commercial vehicles. Such as Suzuki Indonesia's mainstay, the Carry Pickup, which is offered in several variations at IIMS 2025.

Suzuki Indonesia is collaborating with a number of coachbuilders to present various business models. One of them is a mobile coffee shop.

There is also a Mobile Charging type which is certainly useful to support the circulation of electric cars. SIS stated that it will start marketing fully electric vehicles in early 2026.

The New Suzuki Carry was first launched at the IIMS 2019 event. It then received a refresh two years later, in 2021.

Using a 1,433 cc K15C engine, the vehicle's powertrain is claimed to be 15 percent more fuel-efficient than the previous edition. This power source is the same type as that in the Ertiga and Jimny.

Features embedded in this commercial vehicle include an Immobilizer, Air Conditioner (AC), Electronic Power Steering (EPS), and a Sliding Seat.

As a light commercial vehicle, the Carry has a long history in the country. This has led many business owners to rely on this unit to support their businesses.

The New Suzuki Carry Pickup falls into the light commercial vehicle segment. Its load-carrying capacity can reach 1 ton.

Then, another advantage of the Carry is its turning radius of only 4.3 meters. As a result, the driver has more freedom to perform U-turn maneuvers on narrow roads.

For a goods vehicle, loading access is also made easier. Because consumers can choose the Wide Deck or Flat Deck variant.

The frame is also reinforced with thick and sturdy iron. This makes the car's durability last longer.

New Suzuki Carry Price List

  • Flat-Deck STD Variant IDR 169.9 million
  • Flat-Deck AC – PS Variant IDR 177.9 million
  • Wide-Deck STD Variant IDR 171 million
  • Wide-Deck AC – PS Variant IDR 178.8 million
