Government-provided hybrid car incentives will lower the prices of Suzuki Ertiga and XL7 this year.
KatadataOTO – PT SIS (Suzuki Indomobil Sales) offers a number of HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) models for domestic consumers at a relatively affordable price compared to other hybrid cars in its class, starting from Rp 200 million.
It should be noted that the rules regarding hybrid car incentives are stipulated in PMK (Minister of Finance Regulation) Number 12 of 2025. Subsidies are applied to VAT (Value Added Tax) and PPnBM or the luxury goods sales tax for qualifying vehicles.
One of the future requirements is that manufacturers will need to invest in or locally assemble the registered vehicle line.
In response, Suzuki revealed that there will be a price reduction for the Ertiga and XL7 thanks to the hybrid car incentives.
“The PPnBM incentive is about three percent and affects the selling price. So we can say that the price in Jakarta for the Ertiga and XL7 will decrease by around Rp 5 million-Rp 6 million,” said Randy R. Murdoko, Department Head 4W Sales at PT SIS, on the sidelines of IIMS 2025 recently.
He emphasized that the provision of hybrid car incentives from the government is believed to help boost sales and attract public interest.
Regarding the implementation of the price reduction, the prices for the Ertiga and XL7 will be adjusted in the near future.
“We certainly welcome the government's policy, which is very supportive of hybrid use, as it will ultimately benefit customers,” said Randy.
For your information, Suzuki is also present at the IIMS 2025 (Indonesia International Motor Show) event, bringing its various flagship lines, including the Ertiga and XL7 Hybrid.
Before the provision of hybrid car incentives, Suzuki claimed a 30 percent increase in HEV sales in 2024 compared to the previous year's achievements.
“I am confident our hybrid cars will have a real impact on reducing carbon in Indonesia,” said Minoru Amano, President Director of PT SIS, on the sidelines of the IIMS 2025 opening on Thursday (13/2).
Affirming its commitment to electrification, Suzuki brought its latest concept car, the eWX Concept, which is touted as the electric successor to the Karimun Wagon R.
Then there is the eVX, previously presented as a concept car, which is confirmed to hit the roads in Indonesia in early 2026, becoming Suzuki's first electric car in the country's automotive market.
