Suzuki Fronx faces stiff competition in Indonesia but is claimed to remain a consumer choice because of these three things.
KatadataOTO – Suzuki Fronx launches to fill the crowded compact hybrid car segment. Currently, it has quite a few competitors, the newest being the Chery Tiggo Cross Hybrid.
Nevertheless, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is confident that the Fronx has its own appeal that makes it a preferred choice over its competitors.
“First, from a design perspective, many say the Fronx is revolutionary from front to back,” said Harold Donnel, 4W Marketing Director of PT SIS, on the sidelines of GIIAS 2025, Saturday (26/07).
In terms of appearance, the Suzuki Fronx is indeed different from most other products from the manufacturer with the S logo.
Previously, there was the Baleno with similar dimensions. But the SUV coupe style is said to be the main feature of the Fronx, making it more attractive than that model.
Then there is the complete suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. This also sets it apart from other Suzuki lineups.
“The ADAS features, which according to them (consumers) are the most advanced in its class, namely the Suzuki Safety Support,” said Harold.
It should be noted that Suzuki Safety Support includes several safety functions that can assist the driver while driving.
For example, the Dual Sensor Brake Support where the camera and sensor on the Fronx can detect vehicles or objects in front of the car.
So the Fronx can automatically decelerate to reduce or avoid a collision with that object.
Then there is the Adaptive Cruise Control feature. The driver does not have to press the gas and brake pedals in certain conditions, as the vehicle moves according to the set speed.
The final reason is that the Fronx is a completely new model. This means it is not a refresh or another variant.
Suzuki is also confident in saying that the Fronx not only attracts loyalists but also new consumers, meaning those who have never used a Suzuki before.
“If I'm not mistaken, between 30 percent and 40 percent (are new buyers). They have never experienced owning a Suzuki,” said Harold.
For your information, the Suzuki Fronx is also present at the GIIAS 2025 event. The unit can be seen and tried in the test drive area during the exhibition which runs from July 24 to August 3.
