KatadataOTO – Hybrid car incentives seem to have a positive impact on PT SIS (Suzuki Indomobil Sales). During the IIMS 2025 event, Suzuki secured 1,700 orders with the XL7 Hybrid as the flagship model, contributing 43 percent.

Although not detailed, this calculates to 731 units of the XL7 Hybrid being ordered. Other models include the Carry at 23 percent (391 units) and the Grand Vitara at 11 percent (187 units).

The remaining 391 units were not specified, being a combination of orders for other Suzuki models such as the Jimny, Ertiga Cruise Hybrid, and Baleno.

Overall, Suzuki claims this order figure is a 41 percent increase compared to the achievement at the same exhibition last year, which was 1,200 orders.

“The surge in sales, prestigious awards, and positive response from visitors are proof that Suzuki is increasingly trusted as the automotive brand of choice for the Indonesian people,” said Randy Murdoko, Dept. Head of 4W Sales at PT SIS, in an official statement, quoted on Wednesday (05/03).

Not only that, nearly 3,000 people participated in the test drive program with prizes during the exhibition.

On February 23, the grand prize winner was announced, entitled to take home a Suzuki GSX-R150 motorcycle. Meanwhile, two other participants received gold, 10 grams and 5 grams respectively.

Similar to the 2024 event, Suzuki once again provided an exclusive off-road course to demonstrate the toughness of the 5-door Jimny. The test drive was conducted as a taxi ride guided by a professional driver.

The Jimny test drive area subsequently received an award from the IIMS 2025 organizers for Best Outdoor Activity.

“We will continue to present attractive vehicles and the best driving experience for customers,” said Randy.

For your information, Suzuki brought various vehicle models, including the APV, to its booth at IIMS 2025. This model attracted a lot of attention from visitors because it is one of the cars whose appearance has not changed much since it was first launched.

Also present was a car frame strongly suspected to be the Fronx. It was presented as an introduction to the advanced Suzuki technology implemented in its various vehicles.

The main attraction was the eWX electric concept car, representing Suzuki's commitment to supporting electrification and symbolizing the arrival of their first EV (Electric Vehicle) in the country, the e Vitara.
