KatadataOTOSuzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is preparing to launch their first electric car in Indonesia, the e Vitara.

According to reports, this Electric Vehicle (EV) will be officially sold in early 2026. However, the exact date is not yet known.

Nevertheless, the Japanese manufacturer is currently making preparations to be able to sell the Suzuki e Vitara in the country.

"Actually, when we talk about acquiring a new model, we need to prepare on several fronts," said Dony Ismi Saputra, 4W Deputy Managing Director of SIS in East Jakarta some time ago.

Dony explained that first, they are preparing official Suzuki dealers. Then, the ability of the sales force to introduce the new electric car.

Next is preparing the technicians, so that when a customer's Suzuki e Vitara experiences a problem, it can be handled.

In addition, SIS also does not want to be left behind in managing their electric car waste. Then, the processing of lithium-ion batteries.

"How to mitigate the risks involved. The service to the products we offer can be smooth," Dony continued.

Furthermore, SIS is also paying attention to the readiness of consumers to accept the presence of the Suzuki e Vitara in Indonesia.

Because each potential buyer has their own characteristics. So this has also become their focus.

With the various preparations above, Dony hopes the presence of the Suzuki e Vitara can provide its own value or added value.

So it can be different from the electric cars that have been offered first by competitors in Indonesia.

Unfortunately, Dony was reluctant to explain further detailed information about the EV. So consumers still have to be a little patient.
