BYD Atto 1 has advantages, and one of them is its attractive daily cost, especially for young people.
KatadataOTO – BYD Atto 1 has officially become an affordable electric car offered in Indonesia. This electric vehicle is a new choice for young families in the country.
The BYD Atto 1 is marketed with a starting price of around IDR 195 million. This hatchback model directly challenges its predecessors.
The market for the Wuling Air ev, Seres E1, and Vinfast VF3 is immediately disrupted. Leveraging BYD's big name, the Atto 1 has immediately captured public attention.
However, as an electric car, the BYD Atto 1 is indeed designed to target young people. Especially for consumers who want to own an efficient vehicle.
“Using the BYD Atto 1 for a day costs only IDR 7,000 using a home charger. Whereas at a SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station), it's only IDR 12,000,” said Eagle Zhou, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia at ICE BSD (30/07).
At the GIIAS 2025 exhibition, the BYD Atto 1 was one of the units most visited by attendees. The booth of the Chinese manufacturer was almost never empty.
As a born EV (Electric Vehicle), this model has quite a few advantages. Even in its class segment, the Atto 1 is claimed to be equipped with the latest features.
This electric car is equipped with batteries in two sizes: 30.08 kWh and 38.88 kWh. Each offers a range of 300 km and 380 km, respectively.
The data above was obtained using the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) method.
The resulting output is believed to be 55 kW or 73 hp. Meanwhile, its peak torque is believed to reach 135 Nm.
The vehicle's powertrain consists of two electric motors. To accelerate from a standstill to 50 km/h, it only takes 4.9 seconds.
The maximum speed of the BYD Atto 1 is claimed to reach 130 km/h.
Despite its status as an affordable electric car, it is packed with impressive features. Such as the ways consumers can enter the vehicle.
The BYD Atto 1 offers multiple entry methods, including FOB Key, NFC Card, BYD App, NFC Digital Key, and Bluetooth Key.
For battery recharging, the car is compatible with both AC (Type-2) and DC (CCS-2) systems.
In Indonesia, the BYD Atto 1 is marketed at a price of around IDR 195 million for the Dynamic variant. Meanwhile, the Dynamic variant is sold with a price tag of around IDR 235 million.
