KatadataOTO – The BYD Atto 3 with God’s Eye C technology is now available in Chinese dealerships. Its presence is believed to be a new mainstay for the company in dominating the electric vehicle market in its home country.
Several developments have been made, from the exterior to the interior, to give it a fresher look. This is important so that customers do not get bored with the vehicle's appearance.
The most easily noticeable change is on the front, as the bumper has been designed to be more aggressive. The rear has also been updated, such as the integration of a brake light into the spoiler.
In terms of size, the BYD Dolphin will have a length of 4,455 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, a height of 1,615 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. These dimensions are no different from the current model.
Inside the cabin, the BYD Atto 3 is now equipped with various features to assist customers. These range from a wireless charger to a large screen that can be rotated as needed.
However, the most important development is undoubtedly the inclusion of God’s Eye C technology. With this, it is hoped that drivers can drive more safely and reduce the risk of accidents.
The God's Eye C technology is also known as the DiPilot 100 system. Thanks to this, the car is equipped with three front cameras, four surround-view cameras, five long-range cameras, five wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
The BYD Atto 3 has a total of 29 sensors to support the Navigation On Autopilot (NOA) function. With this, the car can assist the driver in controlling the vehicle to reach the destination safely.
It was previously reported that some time ago BYD launched an autonomous technology called God's Eye to be embedded in 21 models. They will offer it in several levels, namely A, B, and C.
The lowest level is C, as used in the Atto 3. Although it is the lowest level, the sensors can detect the presence of other objects up to 300 meters away.
