Top 5 Best-selling LCGC Cars in May 2025, Brio Beaten by Calya and Agya

KatadataOTO – The low-cost green car (LCGC) segment is showing quite positive performance. This is known from data from the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (Gaikindo).

Citing official Gaikindo data on Sunday (15/06), throughout May 2025, LCGC car shipments from factory to dealer (wholesales) reached 9,321 units.

The number above increased by 2.57 percent. Because in the previous month, or April 2025, there were 9,087 four-wheeled vehicles.

Meanwhile, in more detail, the Daihatsu Sigra continues to lead the LCGC segment. The product recorded 3,059 units.

However, the number above experienced a decrease. Considering that in April 2025 it reached 4,020 units, a difference of 961 units.

Meanwhile, the Toyota Calya surprisingly managed to deliver a very positive performance. Last month, this LCGC car recorded 2,480 units. Up from the previous 1,262 units.

This result made it successfully rise to the second best-selling LCGC car in May 2025, displacing the Honda Brio.

In third place, the Toyota Agya did not want to lose to its sibling. The LCGC car's wholesales were at the level of 1,602 units.
