KatadataOTO – For a long time, Toyota has built a reputation as a manufacturer of safe and reliable cars. Unfortunately, many consider their products to be rather boring.

The Japanese manufacturer responded to the criticism by developing various models in different styles, starting from the GR86, Supra, Land Cruiser, and 4Runner TRD Pro.

“Cars should be fun to drive. Therefore, we will never let our products become mere commodities,” said Koji Sato, President of Toyota, as reported by Carscoops.

He also revealed that Toyota's current customers are not just those who think logically and are satisfied with better specifications and features. Therefore, he can no longer just sell fuel-efficient products or those with a new design.

He believes that current customers are strongly influenced by emotion and passion when making a purchase.

Although he did not explain in detail how Toyota would meet this challenge, many believe that the Japanese manufacturer will launch cars with a different character than before.

Not only will they come with a more aggressive design, but Toyota is also expected to optimize vehicle performance to enhance the emotional connection with customers.
