KatadataOTO – After the bZ4X, Toyota has finally launched their newest electric car product, the Urban Cruiser EV. Just like the bZ4X, this model fills the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) segment, which is currently a trend and in demand by consumers.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV uses the same platform as the Suzuki e Vitara electric car. In fact, it is known that the battery and drivetrain configurations of both models are the same.

The Urban Cruiser EV made its public debut at the Brussels Motor Show 2025 automotive exhibition, held from January 10-20.

The design of the Urban Cruiser EV is different from the bZ4X, which tends to be sportier and more assertive. However, it shares the same identity, with the headlight design featuring a hammerhead concept, which is one of the current hallmarks of Toyota's electric cars.

Regarding size, Toyota explained that the Urban Cruiser EV is not much different from the Yaris Cross with L x W x H dimensions of 4,285 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,640 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

Inside the cabin, the Urban Cruiser EV is equipped with a 10.25-inch instrument panel plus a 10.1-inch multimedia display or head unit. Both are integrated and are claimed to add a sleek and tidy impression to the dashboard.

The entertainment sector also supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio system is then supported by JBL speakers.

Moving on to driving safety features, the Urban Cruiser EV will be equipped with a suite of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features as well as a 360-degree camera to assist the driver when maneuvering.
