VinFast Becomes PSSI Sponsor, Ready to Supply Electric Cars

KatadataOTO – Vietnamese automotive manufacturer, VinFast, has officially partnered with PSSI (Football Association of Indonesia) through the signing of an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) at IIMS 2025 (Indonesia International Motor Show), on Saturday (22/2).

The partnership signing took place at the VinFast booth at IIMS 2025. This collaboration also signifies the Vietnamese brand's commitment to the country.

“We are very proud and honored to be allowed to become an official partner of the Indonesian National Team. Like in Vietnam, football in Indonesia is loved by millions of people,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia in Jakarta, on Saturday.

Erick Thohir, Chairman of PSSI, also expressed his appreciation to VinFast, which is currently building an electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

“They have started to enter public transportation, providing green car services to the community by establishing a taxi service, their taxis are running everywhere,” said Erick on the sidelines of IIMS 2025.

Other investments made by VinFast are also said to help create job opportunities for the Indonesian people.

“Then it was mentioned they will commit to building charging stations, 30 thousand of them (in 2025). Now that's an ecosystem,” Erick Thohir emphasized.

He emphasized that PSSI welcomes support from private parties like VinFast to help the national team.

For your information, VinFast is one of the electric car manufacturers that enlivened the IIMS 2025 event. They officially introduced a new model, the VinFast VF 3, which was then ordered by Erick Thohir at the exhibition.

“The red one, with the white trim,” said Erick Thohir while placing the order for the VF 3 on the same occasion.

The VinFast VF 3 is a compact electric car with an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) concept, available in several color options, such as Infinity Blanc, Crimson Red, and Zenith Grey.

There are also premium two-tone colors like Summer Yellow, Urban Mint, Sky Blue, and Rose Pink with a white roof.

Regarding the price, the VinFast VF 3 electric car is offered at around IDR 227.6 million on the road in Jakarta, which includes the cost of battery ownership, not a lease.
