KatadataOTO – The construction process of the VinFast factory is still ongoing. They are accelerating the creation of the production facility.
This is because the Vietnamese manufacturer is targeting their factory to be completed soon.
"This year, the target is to complete the factory construction in Subang, that's the most important thing," said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, to Antara on Friday (21/03).
Pham said that their production facility is predicted to be completed in the third or fourth quarter of 2025.
Once completed, the factory in Subang will become the assembly plant for their electric cars that are already marketed to consumers in the country.
Starting from the VinFast VF 3, VF 5 to the VF e34. This will make it easier for consumers to get their products.
"We want to create jobs for thousands of people and hope we can contribute to the economic development in Indonesia," he continued.
For your information, the factory in Subang will become VinFast's production base for right-hand drive vehicles. It is also expected to help the government's target of achieving carbon neutrality.
As a reminder, the VinFast production facility stands on a 170-hectare plot of land. It involves an investment of 200 million dollars or around Rp 3.2 trillion.
It consists of several main areas such as the Body Shop, General Assembly Shop, Paint Shop, testing area, and others.
Therefore, it is expected to create many new job opportunities. It will be able to absorb 1,000 to 3,000 workers.
It is worth noting that the VinFast factory in Subang will have a production capacity of up to 50,000 units per year.
Meanwhile, the production process is planned to start in 2026. However, the exact date is not yet known.
On the other hand, VinFast is also trying to provide more facilities for its EV (Electric Vehicle) users.
One of these is by targeting the creation of 30,000 charging stations, 500 workshops, and 100 dealers in Indonesia in the coming years.
This way, it is hoped that VinFast electric car owners can feel safe and comfortable while on the road.
This will lead to more users of Vietnamese EVs in the country. It can then help reduce pollution levels in Indonesia.
